War

In our current world I don't know much about war other than just watching news about troops being in Afghanistan for long time and are away from their families who are probably hoping for the best to come and for war to stop. I haven’t really learnt about war much but in the past our two most eventful wars are World War 1 and World War 2. The World War 1 conflict lasted from 1914 to 1919 no other wars had involved so many soldiers and was also one of the bloodiest wars to happen. And the Second World War lasted from 1939 to 1945 it was six long bloody years. If Canada was involved in war my life would change for the fact that my family member would have a chance of being sent into war and anything could happen. The closest I’ve met someone involved in war would be my mom’s friend who son was sent into the Afghanistan war over seas. And he was to stay there for a long time but I don’t remember how long but months over months of war and peacekeeping. War is very romanticized in our daily lives we don’t even know what’s going on in this world unless we watch news which most teenagers and down don’t really care for news. Everyday there are troops fighting to keep peace and tranquility yet we don’t acknowledge the fact that they are fighting for world peace and when they come back home they should come home to a proud community yet we don’t pay attention to what’s going on in this world so we are very romanticized in our country.
